Heather McLaurin has been drawing since she can remember, focusing on black and white images.  She started picking up color and adding life to her black and whites a few years ago when she decided to switch to painting. Inspired by an artist who created his pieces with fire,  she later set about teaching herself how to do the same. Heather loves being able to capture memories on canvas and hold those moments in a tangible way, whether that is with watercolor, acrylic painting, or soot and smoke.   Her desire is to have the next generation look at her work and be challenged to try something new and never be afraid of the unknown.  Through art, nearly anything is possible!
